Meta has announced a new WhatsApp channels feature that is going to be very useful for brands and content creators or influencers. In that users can follow updates from brands or creators.
These channels are one-way means admins can send text, photos, videos, stickers, and polls, and their followers can only view them and add their reactions using emojis like Instagram channels.
Channels exist independently from private messaging, aiming to assist users in staying updated with content from individuals and organizations they value.
WhatsApp Channels have expanded their reach to more than 150 countries, India included. Among the well-known people who have jumped on board are Katrina Kaif, Diljit Dosanjh, Akshay Kumar, and even Facebook’s own Mark Zuckerberg, all launching their unique WhatsApp Channels.
